An update from our Board
It is with great sadness that due to the current health issues within the community and the advice regarding social isolation and social distancing we, the Board of Togs SCIO, have had to make the decision to pause our work for the time being.
As of Thursday 19th March we will no longer be available to accept donations of clothes and other goods at our premises at The Circle we will also not be able to process referrals.
We will be contacting individual agencies who have outstanding referral packs that have been completed and are awaiting collection to arrange pick up over the next few days.
We hope you can appreciate how hard a decision this has been as our dedicated volunteers want nothing more than to provide assistance to families in Dundee, however events are overtaking us all at such a rapid rate that we feel we are left with no choice.
Can I ask that you respect the existing pressures on our colleagues and friends who work in other organisations and agencies in the Circle by not dropping off any donations for the time-being as we will not be there to process and store any items left for us.
Can I also inform you that the 2nd proposed “Togs Take over Tuesday” fundraising evening due to be held in the Speedwell Bar (“Mennie’s”) on the 31st March is unfortunately also postponed for the reasons as set out above.
Can I please reassure you all who have supported us so generously with your time, your goods, your goodwill and your money that this is only a pause! We will be back to doing what we do, supporting families who need us as soon as we can.
Wishing you all safety and good wishes in these times.
